OUR HISTORY

96.3 KSCS officially signed on as "Silver Country Stereo" on January 15, 1973.  KSCS was the first full-time country radio station on the FM dial to serve all of north Texas.  The "Silver Country" slogan faded away, but the promise of playing all the best country never has.  From the days of Willie & Waylon and the Outlaws, through the "Urban Cowboy" boom of the early 80s, and the new country explosion led by Garth in the early 90s - one thing has remained unchanging:  KSCS has played it all.

In the summer of 1988, 96.3 KSCS firmed up its commitment to be the best when they hired Terry Dorsey and Mark "Hawkeye" Louis and formed The Dorsey Gang.  Rebecca joined Terry and Mark in 2002, and the Dorsey Gang is now nearing the milestone of 5,000 broadcasts.

Of course, we couldn't be here doing what we've doing for over three decades if it weren't for one thing - our listeners.  So to you, we say "thanks"...  thanks for letting us be a part of your family for all these years!   And as long as you allow us, we'll continue to give you all the best country.
