Jack Ingram

Who’s more Texan than Jack Ingram? He walks the walk, talks the talk and that why he’s the voice of 96.3 KSCS!

You hear him between songs telling you what’s happening on the station as well as introducing music.

Jack was born in Houston. He started writing songs and performing while studying psychology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Touring throughout the state in the early 1990s, his first release was the self-titled “Jack Ingram” followed by “Lonesome Question” in 1995. Warner Bros. Records eventually signed him and released a live album entitled “Live at Adair's”, and re-issued his first two indie albums.

In 1997 Jack released “Livin' or Dyin” which produced his first chart single "Flutter". Two years later came “Hey You.”

In 2000 he collaborated with Charlie Robison and Bruce Robison for the live album “Unleashed Live.”

In 2005, Jack signed to Big Machine Records releasing a predominantly live album entitled “Live: Wherever You Are.” The first single "Wherever You Are." became his first Top 40 and later his first Number One single on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. "Love You", the only other studio track on the album was also released as a single, peaking at #12 on the charts.

In late 2006, Jack released a cover of Hinder's "Lips of an Angel." It was the lead-off single to “This Is It”, his second album for Big Machine. This album also produced "Measure of a Man" and "Maybe She'll Get Lonely".

Jack won the Academy of Country Music award for top new male vocalist in 2008 and later that year became the official voice of the 96-3 KSCS!
